Num. 1:15 – Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan. (2026) – Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan. [cf. v. 42 – Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; v. 43 – Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred. Gen. 30:8 – And Rachel said, With great wrestlings have I wrestled with my sister, and I have prevailed: and she called his name Naphtali. Compare Gen. 49:21 – Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words. Gen. 32:24-28 – And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
