How Leviticus 13:13 Stood Out

Leviticus 13:13 (2021) – Then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean. [John Gill says this is a sign of the internal health of a body which eliminates plenty of toxins. He compares it to the spiritual health of a person who recognizes that he is totally sinful and that only God can save him. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not (Rom. 7:18). Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us (Titus 3:5). Also, the parable of the Pharisee vs. the publican (Luke 18:9-14).]
