How Leviticus 10:10 Stood Out

Lev. 10:10 – And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;

(2023) – And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean [cf. Heb. 5:12-14 – For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.]

(2022) – And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean [cf. 11:47 – To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten. 20:25 – Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. Jer. 15:19 – Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them. Ezek. 44:23 – And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. CONTRAST Ezek. 22:26 – Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Is. 5:20 – Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!]
