How Leviticus 8:10 Stood Out

Leviticus 8:10 (2026) – And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them. [cf. v. 11 – And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them. v. 12 – And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him. v. 15 – And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it. v. 30 – And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him. Ex. 29:37 – Seven days thou shalt make an atonement for the altar, and sanctify it; and it shall be an altar most holy: whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy. Ex. 30:29 – And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy. Ex. 40:10 – And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy. Lev. 11:44 – For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Lev. 20:7 – Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. Lev. 21:8 – Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy. Lev. 27:14 – And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.]
