How Genesis 49:1 Stood Out

Gen. 49:1 – And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

(2026) – And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. [cf. v. 2 – Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father. v. 7 – Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel. v. 24 – But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) v. 33 – And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people. Gen. 27:36 – And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?]
