Gen. 44:23 – And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more. (2024) – And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more. [cf. v. 26 – And we said, We cannot go down: if our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down: for we may not see the man's face, except our youngest brother be with us. 43:3 – And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. 43:5 – But if thou wilt not send him, we will not go down: for the man said unto us, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you. Compare Matt. 5:22-24 – But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. I John 2:9-11 – He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. I John 3:15 – Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. I John 4:20-21 – If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.] (2023) – And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more.
