Genesis 38:11 (2023) – Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house. [CONTRAST Ps. 32:2 – Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile. Ps. 34:13 – Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. I Pet. 3:10 – For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile; Rev. 14:5 – And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
