Gen. 37:16 – And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks (2025) – And he said, I seek my brethren: tell me, I pray thee, where they feed their flocks. [CONTRAST Gen. 4:9 – And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? COMPARE I Pet. 1:22 – Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently; I Pet. 3:8 – Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous; I John 3:14 – We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. I John 3:16-18 – Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. II Cor. 8:13-15 – For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
