2023 47:6 – I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke. [cf. Jer. 6:10 – To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.] 48:11 – For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
